Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline, will give us a brief update on the City’s proposed ordinance to address panhandling but will be focused more on listening to our attendees to gain insight into the business community’s feelings on the panhandling issue and the City’s ideas for addressing it. The Commission will have first and second readings of the proposed ordinance in February and will make any changes that they believe are appropriate. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT COMMISSIONER SIKES-KLINE HEARS FROM THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. PLEASE MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO ATTEND! The Chamber's Historic Area Council is grateful that Commissioner Sikes-Kline recognizes that input from the business community is important and must be heard.
